Air Hockey

Fancy a game? In our Chillout Lounge, you will find an air hockey table for a fun match.

Animals

Our small animal zoo consists of rabbits, goats, cat, chickens, marmots, alpacas "Timon and Pumba" and "Tom and Jerry" and our ponies "Eidfaxy and Blacky". Our marmots hibernate in winter.

All Inclusive

Your all-inclusive catering (with breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner menu, non-alcoholic juice bars, coffee, and tea) begins on the day of arrival with lunch and ends on the day of departure with lunch.

Arrival

On arrival, the rooms are available from 3:30 p.m.

Activity Program (in Summer)

The activity program is organized by the tourism association. Here you have the opportunity to participate in an e-bike tour, a rafting trip, and other activities. All programs and information are available at the reception. We are happy to assist you with booking the activities!

ATM

At the Raiffeisen Bank, the Sparkasse, and at the gondola valley station, you will find an ATM where you can withdraw cash (usually max. Euro 400.00 per day).

Opening hours:

• Monday to Friday: daily from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Which pharmacy in the region has night duty can be found at 0-141.

B

Baby Food

In the restaurant, you will find various types of jarred food from Hipp, purees, milk powder 1 and 2 from Hipp, etc. for your little darlings.

We are also happy to prepare fresh purees upon request.

Baby Monitor

At the reception, you can have your baby monitor activated via the room phone. Simply provide your mobile phone number at the reception and have it activated by us. Plug the room phone into the child's bedroom and pick up the receiver. Then dial 911 and place the receiver next to the phone. As soon as a loud noise is detected, you will receive a call on your mobile phone and can listen into the room. The baby monitor remains activated until you hang up the receiver in the room again. You will receive detailed instructions at the reception!

Back Carriers

You are welcome to borrow back carriers for your hikes; you can find them on the ground floor in our buggy room or at the reception. We also have baby carriers available for rent at the reception.

Bathrobes & Towels

In your room, we have prepared a bag with all the essential items for your sauna visit and swimming fun. The bathrobes are already in the room. Additional sauna towels are available in the sauna area for you.

Bathing Shoes

We have prepared bathing shoes for the whole family in your room. If you need a different size, please let us know.

Bathing Pond (in Summer)

Our natural bathing pond invites you to swim, splash, and cool off. At the beginning, the pond is about 80 cm deep and goes up to a depth of 3 meters. The lawn area around the pond offers plenty of space to relax and sunbathe.

Bike Shop (in Summer)

For our e-bike fans, we have a great offer. Rent a great e-bike and get advice from our expert. Of course, we also have bicycle accessories available in the house.

The bike shop is open from Sunday to Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Billiards

In the basement (-1) near the Chillout Lounge, you will find a billiard table (€1 per game).

You can get cues and chalk at the reception.

Bicycles (in summer)

Fancy a bike tour through the Grossarltal? Choose the right bike and off you go. The bikes are ready for you in the ski & bike cellar! Of course, we also have the appropriate helmets available for free rental directly in the bike cellar.

Binoculars

You can borrow binoculars at the reception against a deposit.

Buggies

The hotel buggies for indoor and outdoor use are located on the ground floor in our buggy room. You are welcome to borrow the buggies free of charge. Please return the buggy after use so that other guests can also use them.

Back entrance

If you stay out longer in the evening, please don't forget your room card. It locks the bike/ski cellar next to the main entrance and the entrances to the underground garage.

C

"Chat corner"

In the sauna area (in front of the entrance to the family and relaxation sauna) is our "chat corner". There you can refresh yourself a bit with healthy snacks after the sauna session and refill your water tank.

Childcare

Our childcare staff are available daily from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm for all children. So fun and games are guaranteed in the Wurzl and Zwergen clubs.

Children's Massages

Of course, our little guests are not neglected either. We also offer massages and treatments for children. The SPA folder with detailed information is available at the reception and in the "Waldschlössl". You can make appointments at the reception or directly at the SPA reception on the 1st floor.

Children & Baby Package

Bottle warmers, microwave, kettle & vaporizer can be found on every floor in the parent kitchenettes. But we also have changing pads, nursing pillows, crawling blankets, wet wipes, toilet seat covers, baby bathtubs, potty chairs, baby carriers, night lights, diaper bins, swimming accessories, and strollers all in the house. Please simply contact the reception or our cleaning team.

Chillout Lounge

Next to our childcare rooms, you will find our Chillout Lounge and our Indoor Trampoline. Here you will find billiards, table tennis, foosball, air hockey, and a fun table waiting for you. Fancy a match? Table tennis paddles with balls as well as billiard cues are available at the reception. Our ninja course is also there.

Church Services

In the Großarl parish church (Catholic), the Holy Mass is celebrated on Saturday at 6:30 pm and on Sunday at 10:00 am. The nearest Protestant church is in Bischofshofen. We are happy to inform you about the service times at the reception.

Cinema

We have also installed a cinema for children in our sports hall. You can find out which film is showing when in the Zwergenpost or in the children's weekly program.

Cosmetics

In the bathroom, you will find various cosmetic products for your daily beauty routine.

Creative Room

As the name suggests, this is where crafting takes place, and we offer various craft ideas for you and your children. Whatever comes to mind will find its way to reality. This room is always open – without supervision.

Cross-country Skiing (in Winter)

In our sports shop, you can also rent cross-country skiing equipment by appointment. There are about 25 km of groomed cross-country ski trails throughout the valley, mostly laid out in classic style and mostly with a skating track parallel to it.
Detailed information about the trail routes and trail maps are available at the reception (for a fee).

Changing Room

Next to the guest laundry in the basement and in the bathing area "Captain Hook" you will find a changing facility.

Departure

On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate the room by 10:30 a.m. You are welcome to settle the hotel bill at the reception the evening before.

Would you like to leave before breakfast? We will gladly deduct the breakfast from the room bill.

In urgent cases, please dial the number of the medical referral service 0-141.

Here you will find out which doctor is currently available and you will be immediately connected to the respective doctor.

Dwarf Club

Our Dwarf Club is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for our very young guests (toddlers up to 2.5 years). Children between 2.5 and 3 years can choose whether they want to go to the Wurzl Club or the Dwarf Club. The Dwarf Club is only open as part of childcare (parent-free zone!) and advance registration the evening before is urgently required!

From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., there is joint playtime for all children in the Wurzl Club.

Dwarf Mail

That's what we call our house or morning mail. You will find it daily on your breakfast table and you will already know about the current program in and around the PREMIUM Kinderhotel Waldhof.

E-charging station

Please register for the charging process at the reception. A fast charging station can be found at the gas station in town. In our underground garage on level -2 you will find two e-charging stations.

How to charge your e-car in our underground garage:

• Get a fuel card at the reception
• Plug in the car
• Hold the card to the charging station
• Charging starts (0.5€ per kW)
• At the end of charging, hold the card to the charging station again
• Unplug the connector
• Move the car away

Please return the fuel card to the reception and the charged amount will be billed to your room invoice. Upon request, you will gladly receive a statement of the charged kWs.

Emergency exit

On the ground floor next to the house lifts you will find an emergency door which can be opened from the inside without a key. In case of emergencies at night, we ask you to open this door, for example for the doctor, as the main entrance is locked at night. Otherwise, you can also use the playground entrance (in the basement next to the WURZL club) and the ski cellar as emergency exits. These must be opened manually from the inside.

In urgent cases please dial the doctor's referral number 0-141. Here you will find out which doctor is currently available and will be connected immediately to the respective doctor. In emergencies at night you can reach the reception at number 50 or 60.

Excursion Destinations (in Summer)

At the reception, you will find an information booklet with various small hikes and excursions – just ask at the reception. We are happy to advise you and help with tips.

Family sauna

Our textile sauna is in operation for the whole family daily around the clock. You can switch on the individual cabins yourself at any time. There is a white switch on the wall in front of the sauna or steam bath, with which you can activate the cabins at any time. (Heating time approx. 20 minutes)

Family playroom

Our playroom for the whole family is located in the children's adventure land "Peter Pan" directly next to the sports hall and is open around the clock.

Flowers

We are happy to fulfill your flower requests upon request. Please inform us no later than the day before by 4:00 p.m. (Note on Sundays and public holidays)

Fitness & Balance

In the basement you will find our two rooms "Fitness & Balance". In the "Fitness" room you can strengthen your muscles or train a round on the treadmill. Since this is not a playroom for children, we ask for your understanding that children under 14 years (without supervision) are not allowed! In the "Balance" room, a yoga class takes place once a week.

When this course is offered, it will be announced in the Zwergenpost and in the weekly program! Otherwise, a TV is available for yoga programs or your own stream.

Fur Sack (in winter)

For your winter hikes, we are happy to lend you a fur sack.

You will find these in the buggy room. Please hang the fur sacks back after use so that the next child can also use a cozy fur sack. You are also welcome to borrow a rain cover for walks in any weather.

Games

You are very welcome to borrow various board games free of charge at the reception, or you can try a match at the fun table in the chillout lounge.

Guest Card

With the guest card you get great discounts (e.g. you get tickets for the Postbus for € 1,-). Best to always show it! You received the guest card by email upon arrival. Where you get which discount can be found on the website.

Guest Laundry

For dirty, wet or wrinkled clothes, our guest laundry with washing machine, detergent, a dryer, ironing board, and iron is available in the basement. (Insert 1 x € 2 coin per wash cycle).

Horse-drawn sleigh ride (in winter)

How about a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Großarltal or to the end of the valley? Just contact the reception – we will gladly organize this for you.

Horse Riding

As part of the childcare program, all children are allowed to explore the Waldhof Ranch on horseback several times a week. You can find out exactly when in the Dwarf Post or in the children's program. Please sign up on the registration list in front of the Wurzl Club.

Hiking Equipment (in Summer)

For all our hiking friends, we naturally also have the appropriate equipment available for free rental. Hiking poles, backpacks, and binoculars are available at the reception. Just in case, you can also buy a rain poncho (Euro 1.00 each) at the reception.

Hiking Shoes (in Summer)

We kindly ask you to protect the floors in our rooms and corridors and to place your mountain boots in your locker in the ski & bike cellar. Our lockers are equipped with a shoe heater that you can switch on yourself. There is a washing facility for cleaning shoes in or in front of the ski & bike cellar.
To operate the shoe dryer in your locker – please press the button for your room number on the control panel – when the light next to the room number is on, the shoe dryer heats for 2 hours.

Hiking Tips (in Summer)

We have put together a small information booklet with stroller-friendly hikes for you, which you can get at the reception. In your info folder, you will also find the hiking booklet from the "Valley of the Alm" with a total of 40 managed alpine pastures. Please also consider whether the alpine pasture is open when planning your hikes. Of course, we are happy to advise you and tailor the hikes to your wishes.

Hotel Bar

Our hotel bar is open for you from 7:30 am to 11:00 pm.

Housekeeping

Our diligent housekeeping staff are on the upper floors every day until 4:00 pm and keep your rooms clean. Bath towels or bathrobes lying on the floor are gladly changed. If you have special requests in the room (e.g., mattress change, additional pillows, allergy bedding), please inform the floor staff or the reception! Does your child have a usual nap time? Please let us know so we can adjust the cleaning of your room accordingly.

Ice bathing (in winter)

In our natural pond, you can strengthen your immune system while ice bathing!

Indoor Trampoline

Fancy a cool jump? On our indoor trampoline in the chillout lounge, you and your children can practice cool moves around the clock!

Indoor Pool

Our bathing area "Captain Hook" with the swimming pool, the children's pool "Jolly Roger", the baby pool and the Trioslide water slide is open for you almost continuously (except from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm – during these two hours the indoor pool is cleaned and therefore closed).
Attention: On some days, the cleaning robot may run in one of the pools at night.

Our outdoor whirlpool is open for you to relax from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Before or after, you can fill the whirlpool using a sensor with the room card. The sensor is located to the left of the door to the sauna area (nude area).

Attention: The exit door from the indoor pool to the whirlpool is locked from 10:00 pm – you can only enter the building via the sauna area (nude area) with the room card!

Infinity Pool

This pool is closed at night.

Internet

Next to the reception, we have set up free internet access for you. You are also welcome to surf free of charge throughout the entire hotel via WLAN with your own laptop or smartphone. If you want to use the WLAN with your own device, just use the following access data: Password: kinderhotel

Key Card

Your key card not only locks your room but also all hotel entrances, the entrances from the underground car park to the hotel, the outdoor sauna, the ski cellar and locker, the entrance to the indoor pool, as well as the doors of the sauna worlds and the connecting door from the indoor pool to the sauna areas. Therefore, always take the card with you! On the day of departure, the room card works until 10:30 am, but we can gladly extend the card if you want to spend more time with us.

Laundry Service

The bag for dirty laundry and the corresponding price list are in the closet. You can hand in this laundry bag at the reception or simply have it conveniently picked up from your room by our chambermaids. The amount will be automatically charged to your room bill.

Leisure Center (in summer)

Next to the great playground "Rucki-Zucki’s-Gaudi-Alm" you will also find street soccer fields, tennis courts, a soccer field, and a beach volleyball court for free use. You can gladly borrow balls from the childcare!

Lost and Found

Have you lost or found something in the hotel? Then please contact the reception. If you have forgotten something in the indoor pool, take a look in the changing room. There we have a basket with the "lost and found" items.

Luggage Room

In basement level -2, right next to the elevators at the underground garage entrance, you will find a luggage room. We are happy to program a key for you at the reception for one day.

Magazines & Newspapers

Next to the reception, we have set up a sales kiosk with various daily newspapers, magazines, and of course children's magazines. You will find a list for entering the sales products right next to it or simply have our diligent reception team book it to your room. If your desired newspaper or magazine is not available, just inform the reception and we will gladly get it for you.

Massages

In our SPA area "Waldschlössl" you also have the opportunity to get a massage. Please simply make appointments at the reception or directly at the SPA reception on the 1st floor.

Mattresses

Are our mattresses too hard or too soft for you? No problem – just let us know at the reception or housekeeping. The mattress can be flipped and a topper can be used.

Meal times

• From 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM our extensive breakfast buffet is available.
• From 12:00 PM to 2:15 PM we spoil you with delicacies from our lunch menu.
• From 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM you can refresh yourself with an afternoon snack.
• From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM our children's buffet is ready for the kids.
• From 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM we treat you to a delicious 5-course choice menu.

For hunger in between, the ice buffet, the soup and salad buffet, as well as toast and fruit are set up for you from noon!

Please note that our restaurants are open from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Mini golf (in summer)

At the swimming pool restaurant "Vis a Vis" you can get mini golf clubs and balls for the great mini golf course in the sports & leisure center. Fee for adults is 5.00 Euro and for children (up to 18 years) 4.00 Euro.

Minibar

In the minibar we have chilled two complimentary samples of our beer for you. Cheers! You can also have your minibar refilled by the service for an extra charge. We have also prepared two bottles of tap water chilled and at room temperature for you.

Mountain Health

As we are a member of the BergGesund cooperation, you can participate in all activities free of charge. All programs and information are available at the reception. We are happy to assist you with booking the activities.

Ninja course

You will find our ninja course for children right next to the chillout lounge. Here children of different ages can test their dexterity, speed, and competitiveness and above all: have fun! Try it yourself!

You can gladly get these at the reception for rental.

Parents' kitchenette

Our kitchenettes are available for preparing bottles, purees, etc. You will find one on each floor and the kitchenette is accessible around the clock. We have prepared a kettle in every room and you are welcome to take a bottle warmer to your room. If needed, you will also find spare bed linen and towels in the cupboards.

Payment

You can settle your hotel bill in CASH, with an EC card, or with a common credit card (Visa, Amex, and Master Card).

Pharmacy

The pharmacy in Großarl is right next to the valley station of the Panoramabahn. In the same building with the police and Billa.

Playground

On our hotel terrace, our little guests can have fun at the "Dwarf Kingdom" playground or with our "fire truck".

Pets

Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in our children's hotel.

If you have any questions, please contact the reception. You can reach them at phone number 50, and it is staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Relax Sauna

Our "Relax Sauna of the 4 Elements" is in operation for you around the clock daily. You can turn it on yourself. If you want to sauna outside of these times, you can also turn it on yourself. There is a white switch on the wall in front of each sauna where you can operate the cabins as you wish. When the light in the cabin is on, the sauna heats up. If you want to use the outdoor sauna and plunge pool in the evening, please don't forget your key, because after 11:00 p.m., the door can only be opened from the outside with the key. Nothing stands in the way of 24-hour sauna enjoyment!

Our relax sauna is an exclusively nude area, and we therefore ask for your understanding that children under 16 years of age are not allowed access.

Repairs

In such a large house, it can happen that our caretakers or floor staff might overlook a repair. We ask for your cooperation!

Please report any repairs to the reception.

Restaurant

Our restaurants are open for you from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Safe

All our rooms and suites are equipped with a safe. You will find it in one of the wardrobes. The safes can be opened with a key or your own number combination. If you need help, please contact the reception.

Sewing kit

You will find needle and thread in the bathroom.

Sled Rental (in Winter)

Would you like to have a fun sledding session? Plenty of sleds (also with child seats) are available on our ski meadow "Wurzl's Ski Alm." You are welcome to borrow them – please just return them afterward.

You can get tips for sledding routes at the reception.

"Skialm" Children's Practice Slope (in winter)

Right next to the hotel, we have set up a great practice slope for all little "ski bunnies" (from 2.5 years old). In cooperation with the ski school "Toni Gruber," all beginners can make their first attempts at skiing there. Please contact the reception directly if you have any questions or wish to book a ski course.

Even outside the ski course, the conveyor belts are open several times a week for you – your children can show you how well they can already carve turns, or would you rather zip down the practice slope with the sled?

You can find out the opening hours at the reception or in the weekly program.

Ski Bus (in winter)

The ski bus of the Großarler Bergbahnen stops daily every 15 minutes from 8:19 a.m. at the bus stop in front of our ski cellar. To keep you well informed about the bus departure times, ski bus schedules are available free of charge at the reception.

For cross-country skiers, there is the option to travel up to the trail entrance or towards Hüttschlag. However, the bus to Hüttschlag runs at longer intervals.

Ski & Bike Cellar (in winter)

The ski & bike cellar can be opened from the outside during the day with the room card. The sliding door is locked at night and can be opened from the inside with a door opener. Each room has its own locker with the respective room number in the ski & bike cellar, where you can store your hiking boots or ski equipment and lock the locker with your room card.

In summer: To operate the boot dryer in your locker – please press the button for your room number on the control panel – when the light next to the room number lights up, the boot dryer heats for 2 hours.

In winter: The boot heater in the locker is always in operation from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. If you need an additional locker, please contact the reception. The extra lockers cannot be locked.

Ski Course (in winter)

You can book ski courses for beginners or advanced directly at our reception or online. Every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a ski instructor from the Toni Gruber ski school comes to the hotel and answers your questions. The information brochure "Ski School Children's Hotel Waldhof" powered by Toni Gruber is available at the reception.

Ski Pass (in winter)

You have the option to buy your ski pass directly from us at the PREMIUM Children's Hotel Waldhof. We are connected online with the cable car and can print the ski passes ourselves. This way, you can start your skiing fun directly without waiting at the lift ticket counter! The ski passes are printed on a key card (deposit €3.00 per card).

All children up to 6 years also need a ski pass, the so-called Mini-Card, which is of course free of charge (deposit €3.00 for the key card). You can also get this at our reception. To issue the Mini-Card, a photo ID must be presented. Please inform the reception briefly the evening before which ski pass you need so that we can prepare it for you.

Ski Service (in winter)

Do your skis need servicing? You will receive excellent advice in the sports shop!

Ski Rental (in winter)

You are welcome to rent your ski equipment in our sports shop (Turmlift -2). If you have already booked the ski equipment in advance via the online portal, you will find your ski equipment in your ski locker in the ski cellar.

Opening hours: Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Smoking

In our children's hotel, there are many children, so we kindly ask you not to smoke anywhere in the house or on the room balcony. Smokers are welcome to enjoy their pleasure on the smoker's terrace opposite the reception or on the terrace by the winter garden.

Snowshoe Hiking (in winter)

Would you like to try this sport? At our sports shop, you can rent snowshoes by appointment, and at the reception, we will be happy to advise you on your tour selection.

Socket Safety

In the entire hotel, all sockets are equipped with child safety locks. We will gladly show you at the reception how they work.

Softplay Play Hall "Mine"

You will find this playroom for climbing, romping, and discovering in the basement underground level (tower lift -2). Wow, one of the largest hotel softplay facilities in a hotel in Austria – so, have fun!

Souvenirs

How about a souvenir to remember your wonderful Waldhof holiday? In front of our house lifts you will find our display case with great gifts. But you will also surely find some great things for your loved ones at home in the "Waldschlössl". Or how about a voucher?

SPA Department "Forest Castle"

On the 1st floor, you will find our wellness department. The opening hours are from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. There you can really pamper yourself. Browse through our Forest Castle folder; you will surely find the right pampering program for you. You can get this at the reception or directly at the SPA reception. Appointments can be made at the reception, by phone at extension 50, or directly at the SPA reception, phone extension 81. Appointments after 6:00 pm are gladly possible upon request.

Spare Bedding

If you unexpectedly need a new set of bedding at night, you can find it in the cupboards of the parent kitchenettes on each floor.

Swimming Aids

You are welcome to borrow swimming armbands from our reception.

Swim Diapers

At the reception, we have swim diapers in all sizes for the very little "water rats" (Euro 1.00 each).

Would you like to give your family an unforgettable moment? We have great ideas prepared for you.

Sports Hall

In the basement underground level, you will find our adventure world "Peter Pan" with the sports hall. There you can freely chase the ball, and if you run out of breath, we just press a button – and then Harry Potter, The Lion King & CO are nothing in your way. Which film is played when can be found in the Dwarf Post or in the children's program.

Summer

In the basement underground level (tower lift -2) you will find our shop for everything you need on vacation.
It is open from Sunday to Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 am for you.

Strollers

You are welcome to rent a reclining stroller specifically for your baby. We charge a rental fee of €3 per day for this.

Sunbathing Lawn (in Summer)

On our sun terrace and on our sunbathing lawn, you can relax while sunbathing and cool off again in the natural swimming pond.

Table Football

In our chillout lounge you can try a game of table football for free.

Table Tennis

You will find a table tennis table in our chillout lounge.
Table tennis bats and balls are available at the reception.

Teen Room

You can find our teen room to the right before the entrance to the sauna area. This great room invites all teens to chill, meet friends, listen to music, and watch movies! You are welcome to borrow various movies at the Wurzl Club. We have set up our own Netflix access for the teens. Just start streaming!

"TUFFI"

In summer: Our alpine express TUFFI takes you effortlessly to the excursion destinations or starting points of our hikes. Please register for the rides at the reception, as only a limited number of people can be accommodated. Our TUFFI also invites you several times a week for a small tour of the town. Where, how, what and when you can find in our Dwarf Post, which is freshly printed daily on your breakfast table.

In winter: All advanced ski course children are brought by our "TUFFI" to the meeting point at the Panoramabahn valley station. Of course, "TUFFI" also picks up all ski school children, exclusively those of the Toni Gruber ski school, again there – departure at the Panoramabahn valley station at 1:15 pm.

Parents or non-ski school children can find the departure times of the ski bus under the point Ski Bus.

Underground Garage

In front of the ski cellar you will find the entrance to the underground garage. It is divided into two levels (height 2.10 m or 2.40 m) and you may choose your parking space individually. The use of the underground garage is free of charge! Our reserved parking spaces for the suites are located on -3.

Ventilation

The ventilation in your bathroom and toilet is silent and switches on automatically with the light. If you hold your hand to the ventilation, you will feel the airflow.
