Hallein Salt Worlds Fascination

You can discover the secrets of the salt tunnel, slide down long miners' slides and take a boat across a lake at Austria's oldest show mine. A day trip to the cool salt mine is a great alternative when it gets really hot in summer and promises adventure, fun and mystical moments.

Lake Tappenkarsee

A hike to the mysterious Lake Tappenkarsee is particularly stunning. If you start from Lake Jägersee, your hike will last around two hours. You can then look forward to a stop at the Tappenkarsee hut.

Excursion to the Gastein Valley

The vast, green Gastein Valley is located approx. 50 km from the Kinderhotel Waldhof. The spa town of Badgastein is situated there, built into the rocky slope.

Ice World in Werfen

It's cold all year round at the Giant Ice World in Werfen. And this is a good thing, since otherwise the largest ice cave in the world would melt.

Crossing wooden walkways, bridges and steps, you pass thundering waterfalls and rock tunnels. This is going to be a hike where you will definitely not get bored!

Excursion to Lake Jägersee

There's plenty to discover around Grossarl on hot summer days. We think Lake Jägersee is particularly beautiful. It is not only the start of the two-lake hike to Lake Tappenkarsee, there are also many easy walks suitable for the little ones.

Would you like to observe a real deer in the wild or embark on a family hike in the mountains? Then we would recommend the National Park community of Hüttschlag. Because it's only some 8 km away from Grossarl and offers you plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature.
