Tobogganing with the whole family

Tobogganing by day and night, a hearty snack and a children's punch at a hut and afterwards descending the mountain by torchlight – something you can only do in the mountains.

Would you rather have things more leisurely and not drag the toboggan up the mountain? No problem – our TUFFI Express, a tractor with a covered trailer, will whisk you away from the Kinderhotel Waldhof for a fun toboggan ride once a week, depending on the snow conditions. Or you can simply toboggan down our hotel's own skiing and tobogganing meadow.

Illuminated toboggan run in Grossarl

A very special experience is promised by tobogganing at night! An illuminated, traffic-free toboggan run with a length of around 3 km awaits you at the Hotel Lammwirt, offering you the chance to whizz down the mountain with a unique backdrop.

The ascent can either be made on foot or you can be taken up by a tractor and trailer. The toboggan rental can be found directly at the Hotel Lammwirt.

Snowshoe hiking

Enjoy the romantic winter landscape while trudging through deep powder snow on a snowshoe hike. Snowshoes can be hired from our ski rental shop or from the local sports shops.

Crossover exercise with Nordic walking poles trains coordination and moves practically all the muscles in the body. We have prepared carbon poles for your very own Nordic walking tour for winter hiking fans. These can be borrowed from us free of charge!

The excellently groomed cross-country ski trails and skating tracks take you through the picturesque winter landscape of the Grossarl Valley all the way to the end of the valley. There is also a 2 km long, illuminated night cross-country ski trail on the riding meadow in Grossarl.

A winter's tale

Horse-drawn sleigh & pony rides

It doesn't get much more beautiful than riding a horse-drawn sleigh through the freshly snow-covered landscape. A ride on our pony promises another unique experience.

Winter riding paradise

The kids can do a few rounds at the covered riding arena with Eidfaxy together with the Waldhof childminders. Our Icelandic pony has a very thick coat protecting him against the wind and weather.
